Dec 08, 2013 · People will commonly tell you that you can / should / will seal the thread if you 1) put heavy grease on the threads or 2) put Teflon tape on the threads or 3) put an O-ring at the top of the bleeder stem where the threads meet the part the bleeder screws into. the bleeder thread may be messed up. as you bleed your brake make sure you refill with fluid as you go. i used the mighty vac on my bikes and cars and worked ok. then i bought the dpeed bleeder and it was better (dont have it on the jeep) Sep 18, 2003 · Whatever size it is, use a box end wrench and align it so that you can go full tight before hitting the caliper. I want to say 9mm, since 8mm didn't fit either and 11 was too big, but I figure I should be sure before I go off and buy additional tools, and more brake fluid. Amazingly, search on forums here and on google didn't turn up obvious results, other than 7mm.
